This event will select and award the best short films by international and Italian filmmakers, offering the winners the opportunity to spend three days as our guests at the Venice International Film Festival. The exclusive days will be held from September 3 to 6, 2024, in Lido di Venezia, with the awards ceremony on September 6, at the iconic place where many artists, now famous, began their careers.

This will offer the winning filmmakers the chance to take "the next step," experiencing three days full of screenings in top-notch venues, excitement amidst the glamour, fashion, culture, and every fascinating aspect related to this event, and having the opportunity to meet artists and professionals from the international film industry.

The Next Step Film Festival welcomes short films with any content and in any style, whether it's live-action, documentary, or animation. Entries must have a total run-time between 1 and 30 minutes. The year of production does not matter and there is no premiere requirement.
